Principal Duties and Responsibilities

As a member of the nephrology healthcare team, you will provide safe and effective dialysis therapy under the supervision of a licensed nurse:

• Set up, test, and operate hemodialysis machines for treatments.

• Record pre- and post-treatment vital signs and patient weight.

• Evaluate vascular access and perform cannulation.

• Monitor and respond to intradialytic problems.

• Evaluate and terminate dialysis treatment according to procedures.

• Report changes in patient condition to supervisor.

• Enter treatment data accurately and timely.

• Prepare and store lab samples per specifications.

• Clean and disinfect machine surfaces, chairs, and work areas.

• Assist with patient education.

• Organize and use supplies efficiently.

Education and Licenses

• High school diploma or GED required.

Experience and Required Skills

• Desired traits: dependable, compassionate, caring, collaborative, and reliable.

• Previous patient care experience in hospital or similar setting preferred, but not required.

• Employment dependent on successful completion of Fresenius training program and CPR certification.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• Involves computer work, patient interaction, and local travel.

• Healthcare facility environment with moderate noise and exposure risks.

• Requires heavy lifting, prolonged standing, bending, pushing/pulling, and assisting with patient mobility.

• Two-person assist and material assist devices are used for heavier tasks.

Additional Information

• This position is not open to seasonal hires .

• No prior dialysis experience required-we offer paid training .

• No overnight shifts, on-call shifts, or Sundays .

• Benefits begin after 30 days of employment .
